                                       Welcome to yARMOUTH

Yarmouth is comprised of the villages of Yarmouth Port, Bass River, Great Island, South Yarmouth, West Yarmouth, and Yarmouth. Centrally located on the Mid Cape, Yarmouth's many lodgings, restaurants and kid-friendly attractions make it a popular destination for families.

One of the oldest towns on Cape Cod, Yarmouth (pop. 23,793) was established in 1639. There are indications that Leif Ericson navigated Bass River over 1,000 years ago. A true sea captain's town, Route 6A in Yarmouth Port is dotted with historic homes, many of which are now inns and restaurants. At one time, more than 50 sea captains called Yarmouth home, hence the one-mile stretch along Route 6A called "Captains' Mile."
